THE ART INSTITUTES DESIGN SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION
“You Can Create Tomorrow.” That was the theme for this year’s Art Institutes and Americans for the Arts Poster Design Competition. Participants were challenged to capture what the theme means to them in an original poster design using drawing, painting, photography or typography—whatever helped them realize their creative ideas. Competitors didn’t have to be graphic designers with tons of experience. They just had to be interested in seeing how far their creativity could take them.
For high school seniors, the local Art Institutes Poster Design Competitions offered the chance to earn a $3,000 tuition scholarship as a local first place winner. The winner of the national final round of the competition could earn a full-tuition scholarship to an Art Institutes schoolhe/she.
For high school graduates, the local Art Institutes Poster Design Competitions offered the chance to earn a $1,000 tuition scholarship as a local first place winner, and the winner of the national finals could earn a $10,000 tuition scholarship to an Art Institutes school.
